What's everyone's personality type for the Myers-Briggs test? I'm an INFP: Introverted Intuitive Feeling Perceiving. Here's a free test if you don't know.
I'm an INFP too, my Mythology teacher just had us take the Myers-Briggs test as an introduction to our self-discovery unit. :P We also had to take the test for someone we're close to. The person who took the test for me got INFJ, thankfully his result was pretty close. xD
Your type is known as the Champion type, which is part of the larger group called idealists. Nothing occurs that does not have some deep and ethical significance in your eyes. You see life as an exciting drama. You are very charismatic, yet tend to be too harsh on yourself for not being as genuine as you think you should be. 3% of the population shares your type. As a romantic partner, you need to talk about what is going on in your life. You are a strong supporter for your partner's efforts to grow and change and be happy. You need to feel that same support from your partner. Expressive, optimistic, and curious, you are eager to enjoy new experiences with your partner, whom you wish to be your confidant and soul mate, as well as play mate. You are uncomfortable sharing negative emotion, though, and tend to withdraw from confrontation and process your feelings privately. You feel most loved when your partner appreciates your creativity, accepts your uniqueness, and sees you as the compassionate person you are. You need to hear your partner tell you how much you mean to them and would love if they did thoughtful spontaneous things to demonstrate it.
I agree that it's somehow hardly surprising that many of the people in this Sims community on the internet are introverted :) Neither am I surprised by the high number of INFJs... I just took the test and apparently I am one too. The descriptions are accurate most of the time and even provided me with answers to a few current internal struggles, so thank you for pointing me to that test ;) By the way, I also read that the INFJ "Counsellor" type is extremely rare and as the article mentions 3% of people. Yet why does it not surprise me that it has the lead in your poll? :D
INFJ, which is a pain in the butt - I don't like to judge people, but with my disabilities, that has come out. I used to be an INTJ, but that has changed as I have grown into my late 30s.
I don't think Js are necessarily judgmental in the negative sense, they just prefer to form solid opinions rather than say "I don't know". I think the "P" makes it harder for me to make decisions.
Wow, I'm an INFJ. It's odd, because when I first took this test a looong time ago I was an INFP (and sometimes INTP). Then again the tests have been different (more or less questions) depending on the website.
INFJ matches my current profession and outlook in life the best :P.
Extraverted, Sensing, Feeling, Judging add another Extravert to the list :) "ESFJs are easily wounded. And when wounded, their emotions will not be contained." LOL, that's true.
But I do think the extravert bit of me could be a bit cultural, as I was actively encouraged (by my family and teachers) to have an opinion and vent it ever since I was a little girl and to tell it like it is, without sugar coating it.
Well, introverts can be socialable, they just prefer to be so with smaller groups of people who they know well and feel comfortable around (speaking from my own experience as an introvert). :)
I'm ESFJ, which really doesn't surprise me. I guess I answered the questions truthfully because the description really does sound just like me! Here's just a snippet:
"ESFJs are people persons - they love people. They are extremely good at reading others, and understanding their point of view. The ESFJ takes their responsibilities very seriously, and is very dependable. They are hurt by indifference and don't understand unkindness. They are very giving people, who get a lot of their personal satisfaction from the happiness of others. They usually have very well-formed ideas about the way things should be, and are not shy about expressing these opinions. All ESFJs have a natural tendency to want to control their environment. An ESFJ who has developed in a less than ideal way may be prone to being quite insecure, and focus all of their attention on pleasing others."
Fun stuff and it's neat to see the differences amongst us all. :)
St. Teresa of Avila (Teresa de Jesus) Louisa May Alcott Alfred, Lord Tennyson Queen Elizabeth II of England Robert E. Lee Queen Mary I ("Bloody Mary") of England
U.S. Presidents: William Howard Taft
Johnny Carson, comedian Robin Roberts (Good Morning America) Kristi Yamaguchi, US Olympic figure skater Ed Bradley, journalist
Fictional: Bianca in Taming of the Shrew David Copperfield Hero in Much Ado About Nothing Melanie in Gone With The Wind Ophelia in Hamlet Dr. John H. Watson, M.D. (Sherlock Holmes' faithful sidekick)
I'm kind of impressed by Dr. Watson and Louisa May Alcott but should I be worried about "Bloody Mary" and Ophelia :-P?
Of course, career indicator tells me to stick my nose to mechanics and/or computers or go out and be a sports coach. Bleh. I'm still going to be a biologist.
Though... Idea of being a firefighter is quite attractive...
