Good Genes Challenge

They're doing another Good Genes Challenge on GOS! I'm going on vacation next week, so I decided to get mine done before the weekend.



Can you guess which three Maxis characters she's bred from? (Hint: they're all women and none of them are Calientes. ETA: It's not Bella or anyone from Veronaville either.)





Does anyone have any suggestions for a name?

I think the red dress is throwing people off because there's no Bella in her. The nose, chin, and eye color are from the third one, but it's a Sim that I haven't done anything with elsewhere.

Interesting. The nose looked like a face #2 to me, but that could be... a lot of sims. Jennifer Pleasant, maybe?

Hmm. My instinct says Tara Kat, although I'm not completely sure.

...Pretty sure it's Tara. The eyebrows seem right too, and the line of the cheek down to the chin.

Of course I'll feel pretty stupid now if I'm wrong. :P And confused.

You're correct! Tara's one of my favorite faces in the game.

Yay. :D I do think she's possibly based on face #2, but they've altered her quite a bit.

Yeah looking at her bodyshop it's mainly the jaw that's distinctive. The eyes and lips are the same as face 2. But have you noticed her face doesn't age when she becomes an elder? And it looks like she passed that down to this one...

Interesting. No, I've never played Tara to elder, so I didn't know. For normal female face #2 sims, though, it's the cheeks that change the most when they age to elders, perhaps whatever modifications they made to her jaw minimizes that?

It looks exactly the same to me except for the wrinkly skintone. When I put the foundation makeup to make the skin the same, they're pretty much identical.

All the features that my Sim got from Tara don't age, while the ones she got from the other two do. The only other Sim I've had this happen with is the Cornelia Goth that I downloaded from Simgaroop. Are their cats granting them eternal youth or something?

Remi says that there's a mysterious template that looks like face 2 without the elder stage, and it appears in bodyshop when the planets are aligned properly or whatever (as a lot of stuff does) They must have been based on that. You'd think that would have made more sense with the elf template!

You know, I think I've seen that template! It seems to only appear for adult males. I never looked into it any further, I figured it was just a bug. Didn't notice the lack of an elder appearence either. This game... *shakes head* Fascinating.
