I don't get the hate, either. He's a perfectly nice looking sim. But then, I like a lot of the Maxis sims. :)
In my own canon, I don't see him as an actual plantsim, but a fairy who invented plantsims, cowplant, and other quirky Sim plants.
And maybe he's the official spokesfairy for the Main Squeezer juicer. :D
