I kind of imagine them as younger, with Glarn keeping a secret family hidden from his wife. I considered making them teens in my story but finally just decided to make them adults so people can decide for themselves who's older!
I hear there's all sorts of weirdness going on with the Veranaville memories, though. Like parents remembering their kids being born in a different order and stuff.
It's never stated anywhere in-game that Glabe was Glarn's first wife or even his wife at all, so it's up to interpretation (the wiki is highly inaccurate in this regard.) He could just as likely have been a bigamist. Chloe and Lola's lifebars say they're much younger than Jenny, and the "aliens age differently" excuse is even less supported, because alien Sims age exactly the same within the game.
I was just reading the Wiki, and it mentions that maybe the twins had elixir of life access, because not only are they younger than Jenny, Lola is older than Chloe, despite them being twins.

My Chloe and Lola are younger, just a little younger than Lazlo.
I think the memories fail is a lot from Maxis making a bunch of sims and then randomly deciding who to kill off... or just being sloppy.
